Anyone heard of these being done already? Technically they are not a hybrid. I have a full stripe female and a WW male. No action yet

If you can tell me what you get when you cross a Darwin with a wild type ocellaris, and a WW with a wild type ocellaris, I can give you a pretty good idea on what to expect from this cross.

By wild-type I mean common coloration (ie orange and white). Not whether they are found in the wild as a mutation.

Congratulations Kate! My genetic prediction is that you will get whites with the colored areas replaced with Darwin type coloration as they mature. I say that because it appears that the white (pied coloration) is dominant in clowns, at least when it expresses itself. If that isn't the case with WW X wild type, then the F1 generation will be all Darwin type, and the F2 would be 75% Darwin and 25% WW with Darwin coloration in the colored areas of the pied pattern.

Hello, kbb018 I've been following your Darwin x ww thread on the Minnesota reefclub ,but for some reason I couldn't post only email anyways I'been following the thread for like 2 months now my predictions is that the offspring would come out some don't know what % of ww would come out but if a few come out all white but the face n fins would be very dark like a mocha color and hopefully darker it would be kool to breed those back to a Darwin again so the ocellaris would be a ww with a black face black fins etc.. that's what I'm thinking

I believe that the fish will be black ice snowflakes. Some of them may be wyoming whites, some will be snowflakes and some will be regular looking ocellaris that have darker highlights. I have a snowflake breeding with a darwin right now. It seems that close to half my fish have snowflake markings. Here is my breeding pair: Here is one of their babies:
