I think the most interesting bit of info would be if both parents are snowflake does it yelds more extreme barred fishes

I get 50/50 snow from my male snow X female regular Ocellairs.
I get 50/50 snow from my male b/w X female snowflake.
I get about 60-70% snow from snowflake parents.

I know there is a breeding journal in process right now by Freddie focusing on a snowflake pair. Both parents are snowflakes and they produce viable snowflake offspring. So that answers part of the question.

SF are certainly a favorite of mine. I was wondering to what extent the variants are. Would/could the markings get to the point similar to platinum pic? I've seen some of the "extreme" white bands, but not much further. Also, to me it looks more like a charcoal color between the bands. Much like a blackish scale with a whitish scale overlapping.

My pair are ORA line. The female has normal barring (although who knows if she came from a Snowflake parent or not) and the male is a Snowflake. I have only raised one batch from them, with a new batch just past meta. So far they produce about 50/50 Snowflakes of varying degrees. There were two in the first batch that were "Extreme" Snowflakes. Those were as close to Wyoming Whites as they produced.

I have a percula pair as well. The female is ORA Picasso and the male is a wild Onyx (although his black coloring is like a normal percula). Their first batch is just past meta, in another week I should know if there are any Picasso offspring. I can't tell yet. I am expecting (and hoping) for normal colored percula, Onyx colored, Picasso, and Onyx Picasso. If only I could be that lucky.

Forgive my ignorance but is snowflaking the only aberrant patterning that is known to be a direct result of genetics or are there other common designer clowns out there that are a result of dominant/recessive alleles?

I know selective breeding plays a huge role in most of our designers but I'm curious about other genetic variants that are being worked with.

Since this is a discussion, I'm just going to say that I think snowflakes are my favorite type of clown. Once I get good at breeding normal clowns, I'm going to try with snowflake.

That said, I often see what I think is a light blue shade on the edge of the white on a lot of snowflakes. Is this really true? As in do they have some blue on them? I'm never sure cause I'm partially color blind so I don't know if its just my eyes playing tricks on me.
