One of my settled ones is just huge. Suddenly. Either one of the older larvae settled bigger than the rest because it is such an old larvae or there was a growth spurt in the first one that settled. Huge.???

Those are looking great. I too noticed a big size difference in mine as they grew. Some were nearly twice as big as others, Made me fear for cannibalization, which I'm sure did happen a bit.

The last of my larvae have disappeared, and did not become shrimp, so there you have it: 3 settled shrimps bogessi.

I have to wait for September 26 to get to 60 days, but the largest of the babies just hatched out its first batch of larvae and is carrying more eggs tonight. We still have 12 days to go to get MBI credit for this species, but we have closed the circle of life on this species!

It's one of the three that settled. They are harder to get pix of now that they have so many hiding places and their tank is on the bottom row.

Time to add that success icon to your list! Congrats! Btw, almost looks like that one is carrying eggs? Could just be the light, but seems to have that slight greenish hue under the abdomen.

Could be, the largest one is carrying its second set of eggs. One set hatched already and we had baby shrimps clinging to the tank wall nearest the light. Once through meta, these guys grow amazingly fast. Now if I could only get the L. wurdemannis to settle….they are a couple weeks late, and I'm down to two. I think its a bust, and the parental shrimp have long since passed, and there are no more in stores around here. Story of my shrimpy life.
