Now i can barely observe the eggs cause its covered by the anemon tentacles.. I only hope that there is not a problem with the necessary aeration of the eggs cause of that... Do you think the eggs are looking in a good coloration and shap for a first spawn of the bonded pair?

I don´t think she is much bigger than 2, maybe 2 1/4. All the eggs seems to be there , pair continues to mouth and to aerate them, however i noticed today that they seem to be darker. Seems that they are no longet orange/red and are much like a dark borwn or someting. Is it normal with 3 days of spawn»?

Hi, Again to give some news: The clowns still doing well their jobs, and the eggs seemm ok, they got darker and some have already a silver dot in the upper end, wich i think its the eyes of the larva getting formed, right? Ill try to post some more fotos later.. im depending on a friend of mine cause my foto machine is crap. When should i be expecting the hatch, since they spawn between 19th and 20th miday?

Eggs will look silver when they are about to hatch. That is caused by light reflecting in the eyes. They should hatch 7-9 days after spawn depending on water temp.

Got some pictures already, gonna post them in a few hours. The eggs didnt hatch during the night, at least most of them. We can realy see the 2 eyes, very nice. As i said this is the first hactch and im still not prepared to try to breed them, but im looking forward too, so i would like to know your expertise advice on the measures of the larval tank? What do you say?

As promised here is the foto taken some hours ago, in the 6/7 th day post spawn: You think they seem normal? From the initial 126 egg count i can now count only 75-80, wich i think its normal to have some losses, more and more this is the pair first try...

That is excellent for their first try. You see the "eyes" I was talking about? They look close to hatching.

The eggs hatched this night. When i went to bed at 23 pm they were still there and in this morning were missing. As i think i refered before, im not trying to breed this first hatches cause i will be out for 3 weeks soon, and im not realy well prepared. Have the larval tank already the heater the filter sponge, the place, i have phyto, but need to get some rots and try to start producing some, so its not yet the time to take the big adventure of breeding these beautiful litle fishes. Im also puting a ceramic tile to see if they spawn in there in the expected next spawns. Still learning from you guys, and will ask a lot soon, counting on your precious help. PS - When should i expect next spawn, in normal conditions that is?

You'll probably get another spawn next week. Usually every 14-21 days once they get a routine worked out.

Think so too, they are already having some cleanings.. I introduced a tile and put it behind the anemon and they seems to satisfied. Already trying to clean it. I hope they can spawn in there. Im betting in the next spawn to be next wendnsday.

Heres a picture of the last spwan. Number seems more or less the same ( around 130 eggs ). Quality of picture is not so good cause its not my pro friend´s machine. As you can see, they spawn in rock in a diferent place from the first one, and they didnt want the tile. After this one ill put another one, to see if they spwan in one of the tiles. I hope so, orelse ill have to go the hard manner and colect the larvas in the hatch night!!

Hi, 2nd batch hatched today between 2 pm and 21pm ( lights are on bet 13 pm and 22 pm ). They tricked me caused i was expecting the hatch after lights are off, but seems they dont think like that. Is it normal they hatch with lights on? Think its more unusual. If they take the same time as before should lay eggs again in 2/3 days, so im betting the 14th of July for the next spawn. Will be on guard and paying close attention to them. Wiill report later when there is news.
