Sad news today. I got home from our monthly club meeting this afternoon to find out that one of these fish is missing. I have no idea what happened or where it went. They were both in the tank, which is covered, at the last feeding on Friday night. I didn't check this morning before I left because the tanks were still dark. I checked in the tank, under, behind... even the neighboring tanks. I also checked the filter sock at the end of the drain lines. Nothing... Ironically, I spoke with the owner of a LFS that was at the meeting about picking up a few more from her since she has some in stock. Since I wasn't sure if I had a M/F pair I wanted to increase the odds by adding a couple more in hopes of getting a pair. Guess I have to start over again.

I'm waiting on another source. The white things are actually sponges. That tank is actually rather dark, just lit up for the pic. This guy,or gal, is in with my A. percula pair now, had to make room for a pair of Orange Peel Dottybacks.

Oh, I'm really looking forward to seeing your experience with them if you can find another one. Sponges, heh. I was wondering because it looked like they were becoming more numerous. But I can see it was just different angle/lighting between the first and second pictures.

Just sponges, lighting and angle. A. flavisimus lay eggs in a pipe like dottybacks.
