Good morning everyone!

9/1/2010 : Set up larvae tank, with phyto, rotifers, heater, and airstone.
Not making tank as green as initial attempt.
                  Split my rotifer culture.

9/2/2010 : Fed larvae tank rotifers and phyto.
                  Tank maintains at 78 degrees

9/3/2010 : Brood tank : Turned lights off at 9:18 pm.
                  1st hatchling began at 10:10pm
Not many had silver eyes - so I ended the night at 12:15am
Total # of larve collected last night : 16

9/4/2010 : Woke up this morning, checked on larvae, there are still quite
a bit in the tank- although hard to count as they are zigzagging
everywhere- which is a good sign that they are healthy and eating.
Fed rotifers this morning, added a bit more phyto.

More to be collected tonight.

Just when you think you know something......

Seems I have possibly been misinformed when purchasing my ocellaris pair a few years back. And my fault, I never checked it thinking they were just that.
But it appears after googling more research, that I may not have an ocellaris pair afterall. From the photos here:
http://www.tmc-ltd.co.uk/hatchery/species-list.asp

It seems as though my pair is actually a Red Percula <?>
I have caught myself saying wow....the female looks redder in the belly... but I thought that may have just been due to laying eggs <?>

So...if I try to post a clear photo, or if anyone can tell from the videos of the first journal, I would like confirmation on this - just for my own record keeping

Is this the same pair from your other journal? If so, you don't need to start a new journal for each batch. You can just continue with the original one.

As far as species ID goes, can you get a clear pic of the pair?

If you can get a clear pic of the dorsal fin also, that may help too.
