Species:  Brachionus plicatilis
Species description:  "L" type marine species

Culture source (link if possible):  Reed Mariculture

Culturing Vessel Details
Salinity:  1.022
Temperature:  72 degrees F
Vessel description:  black plastic 5 gallon bucket
Lighting description:  none
Lighting cycle:  none
Aeration description:  rigid air tubing. slow bubble

Methodologies
Split methodology: I harvest when necessary, usually once a week. 

 It is important to change the water regularly. I used the smell test - if it stinks, do a 100% water change by sieving out all rotifers and putting them in old tank water than has also been seived through 53 micron mesh.

Culture medium description: 
RotiGrow Plus and Isochrysis  paste added each evening I add enough so that the water light green in color.

Cell count:
Estimated - Varies between 3 million and 5 million in my bucket of 3 gallons of water
