Social Structure: unrelated pair
Size of Individuals:  105 cm
Age of Individuals:  about 3 years
Date added to Tank:  June 2008

Broodstock Tank Details
Size of Tank:  5,2 m X 4 m
Substrate Details:  coraline gravel
Filtration Details: live rocks, aquarium sponges, 2 X 1,8 m high skimmers , 2 X 1,8 m wet/dry filters, UVC sterilizer, Deltec nitrate filter Deltec NF1020 with 27 Kg of sulphur

Water Changes:  bimonthly
Water Temperature:  28°C
Lighting:  T5 neons
Lighting Cycle:  10 hours a day
Other Tank Inhabitants:  a couple of Blacktip reef sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus), a female Atlantic nurse shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum)

Broodstock Feeding Details
Food Types:  thawed fishes added with Nutrazu Shark&Rays vitamins
Feeding Schedule:  2 times a week

Spawning Details
Date of First Spawn:  17 November 2010

Spawn Time of Day:  19:00
Dates of Consecutive Spawns:  17 November 2010 (2 infertile eggs); 22 November 2010 (2 infertile eggs); 26 November 2010 (1 infertile egg); from 1 December 2010 to 10 December 2010 5 FERTILE eggs (verified by candling). I've read females can lay about 3 eggs per week after 6 months from the date of mating, anyway I want to verify.
Courtship Details:  during the evening and the night the male usulally bites the pectorial fin of the female (courtship video: see my 3 youtube videos searching "Corteggiamento squali barrati marroni")

Did you by any chance get any video or pictures of them in action ( During the actual spawning event )?
