Busy Snails
-
Sunday, March 20, 2011 11:49 AM
Lately I've been finding a new cluster of eggs like these in the tank every couple mornings: I actually caught one of my large oceanic nassarias snails in the act of laying them the other day. I've left several of them alone so they can hatch but I suspect that they have a long veliger stage as it doesn't seem that I'm getting any babies showing up in the tank. I need to keep an eye out and see if I can get some shots of them being laid. I've also witnessed what appears to be spawning behavior between several of the snails during feeding times.
