Thought I'd start a journal for my Midas Blennies as I have just noticed a small batch of eggs in my reef tank.

I won't be raising any from this batch, partly because I have run low on rots and partly because the eggs have been laid on the glass and will surely be eaten well before they hatch. I plan on adding a piece of pipe near where the eggs have been laid in the hope the parents will move in and lay in the pipe next time. At the moment one of the parents lives in a cave at the other end of the tank and one lives up by a powerhead near where the eggs were laid.

Did take a few, and a couple of short vids as the pics are bound to be quite poor (eggs are in an awkward place to get at). I'll up load them tomorrow.

Thanks for your interest all, Blake I think Midas have been raised, they have definitely been spawned before.

Here's a couple of vids, the pics I took are all junk

The eggs got eaten last night, I've given them a length of pipe up near where they laid so hopefully they'll lay in there next time where the eggs can be protected.
