They were kind enough to spawn on the glass so I could see

Thanks everyone! I am excited about this too. It is refreshing how a new spawning like this rejuvenates my excitement! Does anyone know how many days before they hatch?

I have been setting up the Vossen larva trap nightly just to be sure but they have not hatched yet. Maybe tonight!

Another spawn occurred today while I was at work (6am-6pm) even though the previous spawn has not hatched. I have the larva snagger set up and ready to snag. Hopefully, I'll have some fry in the morning!        Here is a photo of the male tending the two nests. It is difficult to see in the photo, but the older eggs have silver eyes and the new spawn appears white/clear.

The 1st set of eggs hatched sometime during the 5th night. I THINK I captured fry but they are soooo tiny and clear.. close to invisible. I'll continue to capture the fry as they hatch (every 5 days)...         I was in a hurry to get to work so I did not have time to get some photos of the fry. I'll try the next time.

I missed the hatch. Apparently the eggs hatch during the 4th night after a spawn, not the 5th. I'll be ready next time. I can't see any fry in the 20 gallons of 'green soup' nursery tank but hopefully they're are some doing okay. It is filled with rotifers and some copepods. Hopefully, they're eating okay.

I managed to catch them in the act of spawning and also got a video of the almost invisible fry right after hatching! The fry are VERY fast and are sensitive to the slightest movement... They can easily evade a cup or baster when I attempt to catch them. I know now why the larva catcher doesn't work so well with them... they fry can easily dart away due to any movement/bubbles. At each spawn, I managed to scoop out some of the evasive fry so I know I have some in the 'nursery' tank filled with rotifers and copepods. I've read that they grow SLOW but hopefully, they are alive and growing well. The 20 gallon  'nursery' looks like pea soup (IA & rotifers) so I can't see anything in it...
