Aeration description: Solid airline bubbling at a fast rate, too fast to count

Methodologies
Split methodology:
Once the density of Rotifers peaks (or two weeks), the culture is moved to a new set of buckets.  Or a new single bucket and 50% are frozen depending on demand.
Both buckets are filled to 15L mark with new aged artificial salt water and provided with Rotifer Diet to colour water deep green. The Rotifers from the old bucket are filtered through a series of screens and the contents remaining on the 53um screen are back washed into the two new buckets.

Culture medium description:
Rotifers are feed with Reeds Rotifer Diet at a level where by the bottom of the container cannot be seen.
This is in the order of 100ml - 200ml of diluted Rotifer Diet per 2 days.  One part rotifer diet is diluted with 10 parts aged artificial salt water.

Cell count: Not measured
 (if known)

Additional Information
(No Pictures or Videos in the Section Please)
Notes:
2 x 500ml initial packages of rotifers were used to start a culture (1 leaking, giving 2 x 300ml starters).
as of 4th December 2011, 3 x 15L cultures are in heavy density and 2 x 15L cultures are light density (new start)
Weekly the "muck" on the bottom is siphoned out.

Daily remove 1.5L per day of liquid and replace with new aged artificial salt water.  Rotifers are used to feed to fry or are frozen depending on demand.
You will be required to provide photographic evidence and as much detail as possible about your project in this thread.
If your thread does not contain detailed enough photos  and information the MBI Council will not be able to approve your reports.

Starter package of Rotifers.  This one was leaking on receipt.

It was used to start the initial batch (with approx 100ml from separate package).

Saturday and Sunday (3rd & 4th December) was a very hot day in Perth, approaching 40C.  Not helped by me leaving the air line out of a bucket of very dense rotifers with the lid on.

I now know what a bucket of dead rottifers and algae smells like.  Give me a skimmer any day.

Photos of Rotifers from a water sample for report.  Sorry about the quality, of the single rotifer they seem especially fast today.
