the picture shows the clowns together but they were scared of my phone and me being too close to the tank to take a picture. usually they are on opposite sides of the tank and are only next eachother when scared or when the more dominate one comes out of hiding to harass the other.

Clowns are getting along better now and both will swim out in the open. once in a while the dominate one will charge the other one but nothing more than that.

One of the holy grails of clownfish breeding. I've given up on this species after killing more than 2 dozen of them. May luck be with you!

are they that aggressive? I was considering getting a couple.

Either they are hard to pair or they usually succumb to something even before they are anywhere near breeding.

Had mine a while now and....touch wood, getting along fine but the female is aggressive to the male. They seem to be much slower growing than other clowns. Anyone else experience this?

mine are large but i know this is a very large species up to almost 7 inches. the more dominate one almost removed the left eye of the other one when i put them together. the were in a seperated tank for a month before i put them together. like I said they got into a nice scrap and the one almost lost an eye. the tank was big enough to stay on their own sides andi had 3 different hiding spots as well. so far so good. knock on Oak. lol
