Species:  Brachionus plicatilis
Species description:  L strain Rotifers
Culture source (link if possible): from a friend - unsure where they got it from

Culture Establishment Date:  17.12.11
Continuation Date:                 17.03.12

Culturing Vessel Details
Salinity:  1.020
Temperature:  in the kitchen window sill, so room temperature possible fluctuates 
pH:  not tested

Vessel description:  5 ltr glass demijohn
Lighting description:  natural day light, lights switched on as kitchen get used
Lighting cycle:  natural
Aeration description:  air pump, fast bubble rate

Methodologies
Split methodology: dont  really split unless im increasing the number of containers, so far have done 90% havests and built back up from there,  and syphon a few inches from the bottom every other day topping up with fresh water.  feeding twice daily with reef phyto concentrated roti rood, and once weekly a few mls of culture conditioner is added to each demijohn

Culture medium description: 
3 x 5 ltr demijohn with salt water at 1.020sg containing rotifer cultures

have been using concentrated roti feed from reefphyto to feed, but should be tying rotigrow plus very soon!!

well cultures going strong,  scaled it down to one jar until i start to need them

now ive started breeding ive up scaled to two salt buckets and am now feeding rotigrow compleate,   both buckets going well and coping with demand
