Species:  Hippocampus reidi
Social Structure:  one female / two males
Size of Individuals: 5 1/2 to 6 inches 
Age of Individuals: 1 - 1 1/2 years 
Date added to Tank:  January 14, 2011

Broodstock Tank Details
Size of Tank:  10 gallon rectangler
Substrate Details: one inch aragonite 
Filtration Details: Aqua Clear 200 (hang-on) 
Water Changes: None / Top off only and additives/ Kent marine essentials elements/Fluval sea elements/ Carib aragamight weekly
Water Temperature: 74 degrees F 
Lighting:  18 inch T-8 15watt Daylight full spectrum 5000k
Lighting Cycle: 8am.to 8pm. 
OtherTank Inhabitants: Couple of snails and one pencil urchin 

Broodstock Feeding Details
Food Types:  PE mysis ( frozen)
Feeding Schedule: 2-3 times a day ( eating from glass cup/bowl ) 

Spawning Details
Date of First Spawn: August 29, 2011 
Spawn Time of Day: 8:00am. to 9:00am. 
Dates of Consecutive Spawns: Sept.13/11 133 babies, Sept.29/11 456 babies,Oct.16/11 438 babies, Nov.2/11 709 babies, Nov.18 and 19/11  43 babies and then766 babies , total 809 babies, Dec.7/11 887 babies, Dec.24/11 722 babies, Jan.10/12 145 babies and next date should be Jan.27.
Courtship Details: Every morning they meet and greet at first light, swimming side by side,trumpanting and holding tails. Very bright colors. The male spents the morning
stomach crunching,to ready his pouch with a very not in the mood female always close by. Later in the afternoon when the male is ready,he heads for the top of the tank with the female right behind. He faces the female with his pouch wide open and she deposits  her eggs into his pouch which only takes seconds and then the pouch is closed and both head to the bottom of the tank and do a small dance ( shake ).

Hatch Date:  January 10, 2012
Hatch Time of Day: 7:00am.-8:00am.
# Days after Spawn:  Every 18 days ( give or take one day)
Larvae Description:  0.6 to 0.8  light in color then darker during the day. Look just like seahorses but tiny.

Temperature:  75 degrees F.
Size of Larval Tank: 10 gallons rectangler 
Substrate Details: Bare bottom

Filtration Details:  Hydro sponge filter connected to hang on filter / chaetomorpha linum ( seperate area )
Lighting:  15 watt and 25 watt aquarium light bulbs ( hood )

Larval Feeding Details
Food Types: Live phytoplankton ( Nannochloropsis Ocutata ) and live rotifer Brachionus Plicatilis " L " Type  and live bbs after day two

Hello Mindy,
These computer systems are going to stress me right out. Mindy I received your last message some time ago on (cr) and spent a lot of time letting you and grizzle know where I was at, and then sent it . Don't know if it was received or not. So as you can see I don't spent a lot of time on (cr). Sorry.
Hope to get pictures up on seahorses, when wanted and starting in Feb.will start data sheets on clownfish.
