Awesome, I want to try these guys out too. I had a trio for awhile in my reef tank, but no spawning action. I will be watching your thread, and cheering you on. Please post pics!

I ran the water temp at 68 F and 12 hours on/off light cycle for 4 months then slowly bumped the temp up to 78 F and lights to 14 hours on, 10 hours off. Jawfish eat almost any choped fresh seafood and I feed heavy them till they won't eat any more. I feed them something live once a day.

Hey, you are having some success! Congrats! How long is he supposed to hold them for? You're inspiring me to try these Jawfish again. You already have eggs, so you're leaps ahead of me, but maybe if there were two of us working at it we could make some progress together. Want a partner? Hehe

"maybe if there were two of us working at it we could make some progress together. Want a partner? Hehe" Yes, any ideas or suggestions would be great! Yesterday was their 3rd spawn. Hopefully he will hold them this time. The last spawn he ate them and was so bloated that he didn't fit down his den.
