03/23/2012 two separate FAF disks were initiated to provide two algae sources.
03/30/2012 two separate flasks were combined, assumption was that they were not going to be viable

Both disks look to have failed.
All that I have is some brown sediment in the bottom of the container.
Im letting it go, to see if something comes of it.
My guess is that the disks were too old, I have had them for a few months now.

I have left this going and it may prove to be a good choice.  The water is looking better today.
Both cultures were added to a single flask and it was topped up to 2000ml with new culture water (300ml).

Seems to be continuing to get better.

See back left flask

The only thing weird about this at the moment, is there is quite a bit of filament algae growing in this flask.
The front three flasks are also Tetraselmis but from a different source (CSIRO).
The FAF Tet, was initiated over a week before the front ones and is only really now just starting to look viable (its actually a bit darker in person).

This culture failed and was disposed of on 04/11/2012

I expect that if I had run it through a sieve and cleaned the culture that it may have been recoverable, but as I now had another source, I didn't bother.
