The last 2 spawns (sorry, no exact date...). I'm watching this couple so I can get the exact date of the next spawn and track hatching as well.

Not easy to get the female on picture or video, she is always on the back. They don't stay in the same place too long so I got a screen cap of a video when he displayed.
Note he is quite white with green on the head and the spots on the tips of anal fin rays

As soon as I get a picture/screen capture of the female I'll post it.

PS.: Uploaded picture of the nest on the post above.

When she starts laying, she doe not leave the pipe until she is finished (from time to time the male enters the pipe but leave very quickly as he was just checking; the female couldn't care less about it).

It is painful at the very moment but unnoticed right after. I couldn't even find the place where I was bitten.

Ok......
Murphy, I need a break !

I went to the LFS to get a female M. smithi that had just been through QT... just to come home with it and find the male dead in the tank. REALLY ? Come on !!!!

Just frustrated now deciding if I take her back to the LFS or go back and pick another male I know they have in...
Anderson.
