Spawning Details Date of First Spawn: Around April 15, 2012. Spawn being described here is from April 24, 2012
Spawn Time of Day: no idea yet... They are not there one night and I can only see the new ones the next night when I arrive home.
Dates of Consecutive Spawns: Spawns overlap (at the same times there are eggs with embryos and freshly laid eggs)
Courtship Details: Male stays in the pipe with just head poping out while the female is around. Then he leaves the pipe with all fins extended and the female enters the pipe. They repeat this until she starts laying eggs.
When she starts laying, she doe not leave the pipe until she is finished (from time to time the male enters the pipe but leave very quickly as he was just checking; the female couldn't care less about it).
After that, the male enters the pipe and keep fanning (fertilizing ?) the eggs and he does not EVER allow her near his den again let alone inside it.
Egg Size: A little bit smaller than clownfishes eggs. Can't get more precise.
Egg Color: Purple
