Species description: L Rotifer

Culture Establishment Date:  10/01/2011
Continuation Date:  still going as of today 5/8/2012

Culturing Vessel Details
Salinity:  .20
Temperature:    70 f
pH:  not sure I don't check

Vessel description:  5 gallon buckets
Lighting description:  whats in room
Lighting cycle:  whats in room
Aeration description:  medium high bubbles

Methodologies
Split methodology: not sure

Culture medium description:  I use RGComplete and harvet 25% daily and keep afew brine in the buckets to control ciliates per Frank Hoff plankton manual....seems to work haven't seen one in the cultures since October 2011. 

Cell count: I don't measure anymore, just eyeball and go, but KathyL said it was 300 per 1mil, she's smarter than me so I trust her on that.

Hi,
How much RG complete do you use a day, and how often do you give it? These kind folks gave me some rotifers recently, when both mine and the University's rotifers crashed, and they were amazingly dense. Still going strong.

I am guilty of just eyeballing it most of the time, but a good guesstimate would be two capfulls from the RG bottle twice a day. Very scientific I know :-)
