Breeding Unknown Damsel. Please ID this damesl pair - Friday, May 11, 2012 12:11 AM

Took this pair from a friend and they are in my 120g reef right now. He had them for 3years.
They laid eggs in the flowerpot.
Pics of the male. Flash on so this is not the real color of the fish. They use to have more metallic blue and yellow on their body:

Congratulations! I don't have a lot of knowledge on damsels, but I can suggest this:

C. parasema i think .
i had a pair a couple years ago . purchased as yellow tailed blue damsels .
when grown out they were identical to the pictures you posted .

I dont think they are C. parasema.
I think they are either Pomacentrus auriventris or Pomacentrus coelestis
Did you watch the video of the pair?

Not parasema,definitely.Pomacentrus,most probablyP.coelestis.
