Filtration Details:  Skimmer, UV, Macro Algae, Live Rock
Water Changes:  100L Fortnight
Water Temperature:  27C
Lighting:  Power Compact and natural light through glass brick wall
Lighting Cycle:  7am to 7:45pm for lights plus day time light in Perth via glass brick wall (like a window). During summer, the glass brick wall allows light in from approx 4am to 9pm.  During winter, the light is as per CF the times listed.
Other Tank Inhabitants:  None

Broodstock Feeding Details
Food Types:  Spectrum Thera A+, Spectrum Salt H20 flakes, Enriched Brine Shrimp, Marine Green, Home Made Mash (prawn, pipi clam, white bait, squid, garlic, norrie etc). Occasional live brine shrimp
Feeding Schedule:  Morning and night.  Pellets followed 10 minutes later with frozen food.

Larvae Description:    1 1/2 to 2mm long, very large black eyes, full round orange/red belly.  Remainder of fish is transparent.

Filtration Details:  Water change and Air Stone
Lighting:  Power Compact
Lighting Cycle:  24 hours for initial 4 days, 6am to 10pm there after.
Water Changes:  Water changes are variable depending on water quality.  Process is to add 1-2L per day until RBT contained about 40L.  Then change 2-4L per with a bottom siphon every 1-2 days.

Larval Feeding Details
Food Types:  Rotifers raised on Reed Rotifer Diet. Greenwater acheived by tinting the water with Reed Nannocholoropsis, about 2ml, and 1ml of AmGuard for ammonia control daily.  <50um golden pearls and newly hatched baby brine shrimp. Rotifers were passed through 100um screen and collected in 50um screen.  Only 50um Rotifers were used.
Feeding Schedule:  Rotifers added at hatch with greenwater, will add more as needed depending on visual density of rotifers.  <50um golden perls and newly hatched baby brine shrimp will also be added morning and night after day 4.

02/29/2012 This pair 1 was purchased with a nest, hatch no reports will be produced for this batch of fry as they were not produced in my system. 500-600 eggs, very small, just starting to have shiny eyes.

Sorry that the colour on this is off, the lights were going out and I couldn't get the camera to white balance correct.


The female is a little darker than the photo shows in real life and the male is more orange/brown.
The eggs are more grey with a light blue tinge.

Just for Mindy, its a microscope video rather than a "crazy cool camera set up" video
 
In total only about 10 hatched so far.

Overnight about 500 or more hatched, but I only collected them in the morning, so about 100-200 were dead in the larvae trap.  The rest were swimming in the tank. About 300 are still alive tonight.
I forgot to check them before I went to bed so there was no return water all night.
