My caudernis spawned first time after one week when introduced to eac other. Surprisingly the first spawn was succsess, and I have 15 babies now. They are approx. 9-10 days old now. (daddy released 11 at first evening and rest 4 at following evening) Baby-caudernis are cute and greedy eaters. Male is carrying new eggs already, and this spawn will be really bigger. I'm happy, that they took one week break before new spawn. I got time to feed the male properly. (i hawe many pictures and will be adding them, as soon as I figure out how to do it... )

Well done! I have 3 breeding pairs, and none of the males hold the eggs to term so you are lucky!
Don't let fear and common sense stop you! =]

This brood camed in day 26! O.o We got 22 little kaudernis. One of them was quite personality... others just swim towards surface after released, but this one started to swim aroun like owning the whole aquarium! And now we have a new brood coming. Male got only 3 days rest. That's not good. I have to do something to this, ore he will die. It's only a little (a huge!) broplem... I have them in my display tank and there is so many places to hide. I have tried to catch the male (or female) and it is impossible. They are way too clever fishes. (I hope they would be as easy as my pteleotris zebra who swim straight in to jar, if I put one in.)

Last broom came in 30.9. 16 babies. 17, but i saw that fm ate one. (just wonder how many she has eaten totally...) now I hawe totally 53 little pterapogon kaudernis. And next day the male were carrying eggs again. :/ Luckily he decided to eat that spawn. Good for him and me too. I''m really small scale breeder, so three broom is enough for me for a while. And in webnesday I find out, that my valenciennea puellaris pair have spawned... This hobby is keeping me busy. Love it.
