Hmm didn't think it was any good, but when all you've got is an iPhone and a deep dark tub the results won't be great

Re: Breeding Journal, Species: [Elacatinus Oceanops] - Saturday, October 20, 2012 12:42 PM
27dph and i have around 4 settled,  Im expecting 10 in total but will see

ive noticed that if settlement dosent happens overnight which it does sometimes and dosent others. then the fry will remain see through but will stick  to the brt, a sure sign the fins have fused,  but on  ocasion they will return to the water coloum,  they will sit still for long periods as if there saving energy for the change,  colour can be delayed for a few days before they comleatly settle  but they can get a slight hue/ tinge upto a few weeks before settlement.

psst…..I think this is your second attempt.  Congratulations on your success!

Question: do you keep lights on 24/7, or give them a dark period? I've been keeping lights on constantly, and had good luck.  The night I decided that they would grow faster if they could sleep, I lost most of them…..

Well I've moved the parents to a new 700ltr broodstock system, so they have a dedicated 2 ft tank to them selves, the 10 juvi's are also growing out in a section of this tank with my last evelynae and a few clowns
