ok after losing an establish pair to the postal service, ive been spured on to try and pair these myself, i thought id struck lucky with a gravid female, that had been in with another in the shop and sold the day before, so i picked up what i hopped to be a male and they both turned out to be male, so brought a third (hopefully female) so far two are hanging out in dead acro branch together so im hopeful that i may get lucky with some time! I do have some eggs from the establish pair that ill get some practice with, but i wont confuse this thread with that

Well there still as a three, and theve not killed each other yet I've had a nest 23.12.12 that's hatched 26.12.12 , and the currently sat on another 28.12.12, but it's hard to see due to the size of the tube and the fact it's black. I also can't work out which male is spare yet to remove him! As with all my broodstock, there now in 2 ft tanks as part of a 700 ltr system , which seems to be working wonders in terms of spawns!!

Cool! Good luck! With your last trio, it kinda makes me think you had two females and the male was breeding with both of them. Isn't it unlikely for a single pair to produce eggs just 2-3 days apart?
Don't let fear and common sense stop you! =]
