Problem with fry in a reciculation system

I have been breeding clownfish, dottybacks & seahorses With great results for 6 years now. I have been moving clownfish eggs on clay pots & tiles to a 5 gal. blacked out tank with new water by it self with good results. Trying to make life easier I am trying to raise the fry in my recirculation grow out system & the fry are dieing in 2 days. Water condition is good since I have a 95% survival rate from time in the system to a sellable size. I am not changing any water in the first 3 days. Also when I add Reeds green water algae the water turns gray instead of green like when I use it in the 5 gal. tanks. The tanks are clean before any eggs are in it & I have it aerated & a heater since the water is contained. Any idea why this is not working? Thank in advance. Sorry for spelling in title.
