Species:  sphaeramia nematoptera
Social Structure:  group of 4 very young plus group of 2
Size of Individuals:  3/4" -1"  and 1 3/4" & 2"
Age of Individuals:  very young Wild caught  and  at least 1.75 years
Date added to Tank:  16 Dec 2012   and   May 2010

Broodstock Tank Details
Size of Tank:  25g QT
Substrate Details:  small amount of crushed shell, pipe fittings for hiding
Filtration Details:  penguin  bio-wheel filter w/ bioballs and aged sponge
Water Changes:  not yet
Water Temperature:  86*F
Lighting:  18' T5 white
Lighting Cycle:  16 hr on * hr off
Other Tank Inhabitants:  6 banggai and 4 oribic cardinals hermit crabs and turbo snails

Broodstock Feeding Details
Food Types:  Hikari frozen mysis , live BBS and anything else I can get them to eat(homemade seafood mix)
Feeding Schedule:  at least 2X daily and often more.  Constant supply of BBS from in tank Hatcher

16 days in quarantine and all 4 look good. All are eating frozen mysis and frozen homemade mash.
 
the 2 in DT are continuing to do well.

Update 28 days in QT  All 4 are doing well.  Eating well.  Eating frozen mysis, frozen homemade mash, frozen blood worms and Omega one flakes.
No sign of spawning but fish are small, dime to nickel sized.
2 older fish in DT continue to do well.  Eating Omega One pellets, frozen homemade mash, any pods they can find in the DT and other treats provided.  They will eat anything but frozen blood worms.
