I have a chance to pick up a pair of Tomato Clowns which have laid eggs before in there Display tank. Besides the food and the room they would take up in the broodstock system is there any negatives in raising Tomato Clowns?
It would be another species to sell but I have no idea if thee is a want for them.
Thanks
Mark

Locally in Duluth, MN I have not been able to sell very many cinnamon clowns, which look very similar to tomato clowns. However If I had the chance to pick up a spawning pair of tomato clowns I would still do it. I guess it depends on your market and how much work you want to put into selling them. Just my 2.0

Thanks for the reply. I only have 3 spots empty in broodstock and I am just not sure if I want to use one for Tomatoes. From what I read they are not hard to to raise, plenty of eggs and a very short time to metamorphosis. What to do?

Tough call on that one, I would talk to your LFS or any clubs that might be in your area to see if they have interest in the babies or if they would be interested in the adult pair. That way if you decide to move on to other fish you know if youll be stuck with them. Looks like your in Indiana, a bit far for me to pick em up
