This is the pair (15 days after arrival):

The water in which they were traveling was 18o C
37 days after arrival was the first mating.

27.01.2013 - male spat about 40 babies (+/- 2 or 3 ) one hour after switching off the lights.

your lucky i have had about 6 for a year and they wont give me a pair to play with there in a 40b i had them in a ten gal bare bottom idk what im doing wrong but thats cool babys look real nice

At night male spat all babies. This morning I counted a total of 35 babies (+/- 3-4):

Two babies died - swimming strange and not eating.
The first baby died on the fifth day, and second baby the next day.

All other well and grow for hours.
Tonight pair again ready for spawning.

Yesterday (21 days) male spat 12 babies.

The weather is warm and the temperature in the tank is 30 degrees.
I have five or six babies who swim quite strange - gustily, with their heads up. Does anyone have any idea what is the reason?

This morning male spat about 40 babies (on the 25th day of incubation). It was incredible!!! He deserves a medal .
Again, there are some babies who swim odd. I dont know what is the reason.

Bad news. Male died . On 18.06.2013 male hold eggs and the same day died - stewed with eggs.
Was posthumously awarded.
Today, female cast eggs alone. Now 6-7 hours is swallowed eggs - behaves as a male. This normal? Someone watching something similar?
