2-1/2 days old. Only lost 5 babies so far. Not much to see other than a tank full of rotifers that I just dumped in and some bigger white specs eating them.

Pair laid another big batch tonight. 15 days from their last batch, which is their normal schedule. Babies are at day 4 and I haven't lost any in 2 days. I believe I caught around 30 from the hatch and have around 25 left. (make sure to click the 'gear icon' on the bottom right once you click play to change video to 720p)

Batch 3 hatched last night.. biggest collection ever. This time I siphoned them out of the tank with a hose into a 29G tank sitting next to the display tank. Normally I would just use a turkey baster to suck out a few. 2nd batch I attempted to pull the rock out that had the eggs on them but I really messed that up somehow and only got 11 babies to survive. Most of the eggs just turned white on the last day and didn't hatch (due to me not knowing what I was doing). Last night I knew they were going to hatch so I waited 1 hour after lights out and then put a light over the tank and they exploded (they seemed to all hatch when I turned the light on). I had never seen so many babies at once but I caught a large majority of them as the video shows.

Seeing posts like these gives me hope. All my fry from my first attempt died and from the second attempt I have one or two alive still. I'll figure it out one day.

What are you feeding them the first week? I order a rotifer culture and RGFeast bottle from ReedMariculture, along with OTO dry food. I put in a ton of rotifers as soon as the babies hit the tank. Since they can't see or swim well at first I want so many rotifers swimming around they can't move an inch without bumping/eating a dozen. I grow the rotifers in 2 5G buckets and remove/replace 25% of the water each day, filtering the rotifers I take out in a paper coffee filter. I then dip the coffee filter into the clown tank to rinse them off. I add 3 drops of RGFeast into the clown tank daily, not much. I put 8ml of RGFeast in each 5G bucket each day to feed the rotifer cultures. After a week of rotifers I start adding OTO-A 'powder'. By the second week I stop feeding rotifers all together and only feed OTO. By week 3 I move up to OTO-B1, and progress to larger sizes as they get the ability to eat them. I ordered a complete set of OTO food but found out you only need A/B1&2/C1, after that you can switch to Spectrum Small Fish pellets. My very first attempt I collected half a dozen and tried to raise them on dry food alone, none of them made it to day 7 trying that method. Since then I have stuck to the method above and have had high success (~90%) and little loss, and almost all the loss happens before they hit the Meta phase.
