Zach,  Nice picture of a calanoid copepod you've got there!  It just doesn't look like a Parvocalanus crassirostris to me.  Check my avatar.  That is P. crassirostris.  My image is of a copepod with a much more squat, ovoid prosome shape.  Yours has a much more elongated, torpedo-shaped prosome.  I think yours is more consistent with Acartia tonsa.  Please see my A. tonsa journal here:  http://www.mbisite.org/Forums/tm.aspx?m=59805 and follow the Reference Links in the first post.  Then, follow this link, and examine the morphological images on this page:  http://copepodes.obs-bany...en/fichesp.php?sp=1090

Thanks Jim! The culture by now I believe had died off, but I will doublecheck. Just for future purposes, do you have any site recommendations on where I can get some parvo?
