2013 Marine Breeder's Workshop Transport

The host hotel and event venue are about 40 minutes from the airport (DTW). The best way to get around is by renting a car. Anyone that would like to share a car rental is encouraged to post their arrival and departure dates and times in this thread. Sharing a car makes it more affordable and you get to hang out with another fish person too.

Hey everyone, I am looking to share a car if anyone is interested. I am looking at flying in Friday evening possibly around 5:30pm and leaving Monday late morning. If anyone is interested please let me know.

We might be able to arrange something, because that matches pretty much what I'm planning, although I haven't booked my air fare yet.  I'll keep you in mind.

The best way to get around town is by renting a car. Car rentals are pretty affordable, usually under $40/day. Public transport in the metro area is not really a good option, much easier to share a ride with other attendees if possible. Contact me with any questions.

Got permission from hubby (it's a game we play: I always ask nicely, and he always says yes), Hotel reservations, Plane tickets, and Car rental.
 
 I'm arriving DTW at 7ish on Friday, and  leaving the hotel around 9:30 am Sunday for DTW.  Sorry I won't be able to attend the BBQ… .
 
Anyone at the airport when I get there, or wants to be at the airport when I do, is welcome to ride with me.  
 
When not with my extremely accomodating husband, however,
 
I sleep alone.  
 
No one wants to hear me snore. Trust me on this.
 
I am so looking forward to MBI workshop 2013!  You have some great speakers this year!  I wouldn't miss it for the world.

The plan is to drive up on Friday, during the day. And stay through Sunday afternoon. If anyone gets a better rate flying to Cleveland/Hopkins instead of DTW, your more than welcome to ride along. Not sure yet if i'll be alone or with someone yet. A lot up in the air on the personal side yet. Post here or PM if interested. It's around a 3 hour drive to the hotel from cleveland.

Is anyone from Southwestern Ontario wanting to go.  It's a 6 hour drive from here, and I need a companion for a ride like that .

I am renting a car.  I finally booked my flight.  I am arriving at DTW on Friday, July 12th at 4:04 PM, and leaving on Monday, July 15th at 3:48 PM.  If anybody needs a ride either to or from DTW, or both, near those times, let me know, and we'll see what we can work out.

I may drive up from the Wash, D.C. area if anyone wants to carpool from there.  I could also pick someone up from the Pittsburg area or somewhere on the way if they needed a ride.

We are leaving from the Twin Cities area Friday morning-early afternoon - we will have 2 cars in a caravan heading over

I just booked my flight (way last minute due to family issues) and I am looking for someone to carpool with. My flight arrives at DTW at 6:40pm Friday night and my flight home departs at 3:05pm Monday afternoon. I would be willing to pitch in for your rental fee, buy gas, or buy you dinner/lunch. Please let me know if I can catch a ride with anyone as I would greatly appreciate it.
