Larval flow through system build. - Monday, April 1, 2013 4:48 PM

Following on from this post  http://www.mbisite.org/Fo.ms/tm.aspx?m=81351  where I had tried feeding dry feed to Mandarins, I needed a way to clean the water as it has been polluting fast.
I have now started a build on a flow through larval vessel, I am hoping this is going to help with seeing if it is possible to raise mandarins on dry feed.
The main build thread is on the UK forum here  http://www.mfbc-uk.co.uk/...pic.php?f=72&t=132

The whole thing is run via the skimmer which can be run at full power simply sliding the skimmer left to right controls the amount of flow through the system without ever adjusting the output of the skimmer. No other control is needed. and to stop the flow whilst feeding the skimmer is slid to one side where it just circulates water until it is slid back into the "ON" position.

Here are some pictures/diagrams of the progress so far.
