Any luck lately?

This batch didn't survive. The initial mortality was very high and I needed the tank space so I didn't work on raising them like I hope to work on soon.
 
I also haven't fully nailed down their spawn/hatch cycle. They almost always have eggs but I haven't had the opportunity for observation that I need. The three of them typically all have eggs at the same time and they're all very similar in size and color so it's hard to tell who is who without some good observation and documentation of what they're up to. I'm also planning a reorg of my broodstock setup in the near future so I've been dragging my feet a bit on working with these "guys"...

Joel...I know nailing down that spawning cycle can be tough at first, but my understanding is that they mate right after molting.  So....when one molts, that's likely going to be your "spawn" date for that specimen. Does that help at all?

They've been spawning regularly and I've got them in a tank with low flow so there's no missing when the eggs hatch- the tank is filled. So, anyway, I've got one currently with no eggs and I'm watching it like a hawk to nail down when it gets eggs. There are only two now and they are of much different sizes so it's easier to keep track of them then when there were 3 of them, and two were the same size.
 
I had a request to get some better pictures to determine that they are not lysmata boggessi. I snapped a few photos tonight, one actually came out pretty good. I'll post up the best three of them. Maybe someone can definitively determine if they are bogessi or wurdemanni. I don't really have any knowledge of how to differentiate the two. I only bought them as peppermint shrimp.

Need a good focus on the back of the shrimp.  Boggessi have mostly longitudinal stripes, Wurdmanni have some cross stripes.

Hmm... My email doesn't seem to be getting sent when someone replies to my thread, so I missed your replies.
 
Thanks for the help. With my lousy camera I think those shots are the best I can get. Most of the reference images show the shrimps to be almost translucent with red stripes- but mine are a deep red, so it's hard really to definitively see the reddish stripes on the deep red body. Mine does, however, appear more like "D" (bogessi) if for no other reason than the color at the end of the tail, which is black. Mine have black at the end of the tails, like "D". None of the other images have black tails- is that a feature unique to bogessi?
 
In any case, I finally nailed down a spawn date. The day before yesterday all was normal, my small shrimp had no eggs. Yesterday it was acting very shy and hiding in the back of the tank. This morning there was a shed shrimp skin, although I'm not sure if it was his or another shrimps (he is mixed in with some cleaner shrimps). About a week ago there was also another shed skin. Anyway, today he has eggs, so it either happened this morning or last night. I'll call it this morning, Aug 4.
