I've been vodka dosing for a while now on my brood stock, and it seems to be having results but now I'm worrying that it may have a negative effect on fertility of the brood stock any thoughts or experiences on this?

Why are you worrying about this? What makes you think it is having a negative effect?

well basically I haven't had a nest for weeks, now there's a few factors that could be linked to this, and a lot of my pairs are ones that haven't spawned yet, but ive had regular laying clowns, as well as sharknose and macrodons which have all laid before but currently aren't. the sharknose I'm not sure if there not past there best in terms of breeding, there last nest didn't seem to stick to the tubes. now I obviously suspected water quality is not its best hence opting for the vodka route. I moved my whole system (and my home) in December and lost a few fish after so haven't really been able to raise anything since then, so I'm a little frustrated currently, initially I got lots of nests but this has tailed of to nothing now

If I understand you, you said you moved all of them in December? Most of my pairs stopped spawning for 6+ months after the heatwave last summer. It can take pairs a while to recover after a move.

yes that's correct although the clowns, evelynae and macrodons were spawning within months of the move
