Eggs developing nose in - Tuesday, June 18, 2013 11:11 PM

Ok this is weird...anyone seen this before?  The circled eggs are actually attached at the nose end.

About 30% of my clarkii clutches do that every time, on average of those 10% don't typically make it or are delayed an extra day on hatch.

I just take photo's and count.... for statistics purposes. Ok and I have a husband who's a mathematician and is always analyzing everything!

I always inspect the eggs closely, especially if I am collecting them for hatch.  This is the first time I've seen this, and I'm glad I;m not the only one!  Although poor hatch isn't a good thing.  I can't imagine this nose in thing is good...
