Came across this via UtimateReefs (http://www.ultimatereef.net/forums/showthread.php?t=509734)

Great full article (PDF) on the various Peppermint Shrimp Species - http://decapoda.nhm.org/pdfs/27306/27306.pdf

Here's one of the important images from that document that was posted to UltimateReefs:

(A) Lysmata wurdemanni
(B) Lysmata rathbunae
(C) Lysmata ankeri
(D) Lysmata boggessi
(E) Lysmata pederseni
(F) Lysmata bahia

I encourage anyone working with Lysmata species to make sure they've properly ID'd the one they have so that the data in the database is matched up with the right species.  I'll obviously be continuing to try to learn my Pep Shrimp IDs to catch errors, but it helps if we all work together

ADDITIONALLY, be sure to visit this second reference that Tal posted (he should make it sticky too)http://www.mbisite.org/Forums/tm.aspx?m=39004

I have this picture saved to my phone so when I'm at a fish store I can easily make a quick ID of the species I'm looking at.
