General
Species:  Amphiprion ocellaris (orange)
Social Structure:  Pair
Size of Individuals: Female 3"/ male 2 1/2"
Age of Individuals:  one and 1/2 years
Date added to Tank:  Sept 2012

Broodstock Tank Details
Size of Tank:  10 Gallon
Substrate Details:  White sand
Filtration Details: Small hang on the back power filter               
Water Changes:  10% /month
Water Temperature:  80 F 
Lighting:  T 8
Lighting Cycle:16 hours on / 8 hours off                
Other Tank Inhabitants:  three hermit crabs

Broodstock Feeding Details
Food Types:  several different frozen foods as well as formula one and two flakes and s a hatchery pellets.
Feeding Schedule:  3 sometimes 4 times a day

Spawning Details
Date of First Spawn:  5/10/2013 
Spawn Time of Day:  4:00
Dates of Consecutive Spawns:  They have spawned every 10 days since. This batch was on 9/12/2013
Courtship Details: Male gives female constant attention. Both work on cleaning area of flowerpot.                
Egg Size: 2 mm               
Egg Color:  orange; difficult to see as same color as flower pot.
Egg Count:  over 200 

Hatch Details
Hatch Date:  9/20/2013
Hatch Time of Day:  30 mins after lights out. 9:30
# Days after Spawn:  8 days
Larvae Description:  very active, about 3 mm in length            
Consecutive Hatch Dates: last four dates are 7/30,8/9,8/29,9/20.      


Larval Tank Details
Temperature:  80 F
Size of Larval Tank:10 Gallon                
Substrate Details:  bare
Other Tank Decor:  all four walls painted black, except for small 4" stripe in the front for viewing.
Filtration Details: none, just an airstone for movement and oxygen.               
Lighting: compact fluorescent bulb.      
Lighting Cycle: lights on for 24/7 the first 3 days. Afterwards normal 16 hours on 8 hours off.             
Water Changes:  None first five days, as the tank in only 1/2 full. add 1 gallon a day for the next 5 days beginning on the second day. When tank is full change 10 % everyday till metamorphosis.

Larval Feeding Details
Food Types:  rotifers, brine shrimp and cyclop-eese
Feeding Schedule:   rotifers for first 10 days, start cyclop-eese and nh brine shrimp on day 5. stop rotifers and brine shrimp on day 10.
Metamorphosis/Settlement
Date of Settlement Start:Sept 26 noticed Fry changing color to a light tan, Sept 28th noticed first stripe on several.     
Days after Hatch: Most have all their stripes after 23 days.                  
Date of Settlement End:  10/13/2013
Description of Fry: Looks just like the parents except for the black tips to the fins has not filled in all the way.

Substrate Details:  bare bottom

Filtration Details: Part of multi-tank system with refugium                 
Lighting: t-8                  
Lighting Cycle: 12 hours on 12 off

Size at Transfer:  1/2" to 3/4"
Age at Transfer:  about 30 days

Grow-Out Feeding Details
Food Types:  cycopease dry and several different frozen foods
Feeding Schedule:  3 times a day.

A pic of the eggs a few days after being laid.  They are the same color as the flower pot when first laid, so you really can't see them.
