In honor of the awesome success of Bali Aquarich (http://reefbuilders.com/2013/07/25/captive-bred-cleaner-wrasse/) raising these beauties and their subsequent placement in the MBI database, I thought I would dust off some old videos and share them here:

Courtship:

Spawning (sorry about the sound):

A longer courtship/spawning video:

There are a few more videos on my YouTube channel, but you all get the picture.

Eventually, the male was a little too vigorous and wound up jumping from the tank. He got caught in one of the access doors and I couldn't get to him for quite some time. He lived on, but was never quite the same. He got to the point that he could no longer dominate the female and she eventually killed him, unfortunately. She's still doing quite well in my system, almost 5 years in my care at this point.

So that's my story. Obviously raising them is possible. I do hope that it will eventually become commonplace. If anyone has any questions, I would love to help.

I guess it should be that I've had the female 4 years in my care now. Math is hard.

I figure it ought to be that I've had the female 4 years in my forethought now. Math is hard.
