Last night the Female ate all of the eggs. They appeared to be forming nicely, silver eyes were visible, but for some reason, she ate them. I may consider pulling the tile at next spawn and going that route. I'll update this on the next spawn.

The Photons have eggs again, this time 2x as many as before in a better area. The last spawn she would get very agitated when you would enter the room and then dart to the nest and grab a mouth full of eggs and eat them. This time I took advise I got from here and put a black wrap on the front and side of the tank. Let's see if this helps with her mood! I'm torn on just removing the tile structure from the tank, I got these from John Witt and he said they were infrequent spawners, but this is 2 in a row and I am afraid to remove it. I don't have an exact replica for them to hide in, I have pots, but this is a tile lean-to that is glued together. I will hit the the big box store and buy more tiles to make another.

Sounds good! I'm not a fan of gluing the tiles together, I keep mine separate so I can pull whichever tile they choose to spawn on. Sometimes they get creative and spawn on more than one tile too. I keep extra tiles in the sump so I can easily replace any tile that I pull. You should be able to find tiles at Home Depot for under a buck each.

Hat to pull the tile with the eggs today. After several days, the female started eating them again. She managed 1/2 before I pulled the tile. They are all in good shape, the silver eyes are forming, and all looked good. I put 5 gallons from the parent tank in a 10g and put in a heater and a dose of Methyl Blue. I put one airstone next to the heater, and an airline with 1 bubble / sec under the bottom set of the nest and a wood stone in the middle of the larger section with a super slow, fine bubble curtain. They put the eggs in an odd spot to aerate them, plus she ate an odd pattern in them that make it harder with a gap in them. They were laid on the 16th, so hoping they hatch.
