My Breeder Cubes
-
Wednesday, January 8, 2014 3:17 PM
While not as fancy of most of the system in this thread, I completed this build a few months ago and so far it is working out well. It is a 48" Long, 12" Deep, and 14" tall. Each cube is isolated from the others with individual drain and returns so a section can be shut off. They all feed into a central sump with an Algal Turf Scrubber for the filter. I use a Mag 9.5 as a return. I have 2 8" White Reef Brite LED's in an old canopy light providing light. This is in the breeding shop (a Centrally Heated and AC'd 2 car attached garage). I had been and am still using 40B's to breed the clowns and an moving all of them to these style of units. I have two retail MARS units running for grow-out. Pic of the new in-house made Cubes and Filter. Filter

Yes, each cube has an individual overflow and return. All to a central sump with an algal turf scrubber.
