This is their first few days in the tank.

Courtship had begun just three days before spawn.

Just hours before spawn, notice the females hump in the belly saying that " the eggs are ready". They did not have the regular apetite that day.

After spawn.

It's been hours and female still stays close to the male. That makes me curious, if she' s doing it on purpose or as a guard. Hope she quits that soon, male seems quite disturbed.

Second Spawn today (as soon as i begin giving frozen mysis again). I guess two weeks of frozen diet had triggered them well.

Male keeps aborting @day5. Today is their 4th. try.

Female always keeps the courtship rituel after the transfer, i do not know if that is disturbing the male.

I am not speaking from experience, but I have heard that if you grate frozen mussel meat or frozen scallops, mix with the contents of salmon oil capsules or Selco, freeze again, and feed that mix, Papa banggai will hold longer.  Worth a try?

Why not? Thanks Kathy . I moved them to a more peaceful tank with my other clown couple. Maybe this will help too.

Male held them 16 days for the first time (on the 6th.batch). That was the first spawn in their new tank.

Well not a commercial breeder but i am not sure if it is time to swap him for another brood male or not?

Maybe he needs one last chance...
