Species description:  Golden brown phytoplankton, rectangular cells with antenna-like appendages

Culturing Vessel Details
Salinity:  27 ppt
Temperature:    Ambient, about 75F
pH:  8

Vessel description:  One gallon plastic jar with lid. Hole in lid to accommodate rigid airline.
Lighting description:  Under-cabinet T5 fluorescent bulb, 18 watts.
Lighting cycle:  14 hours day, 10 hours dark
Aeration description:  moderate bubbling through rigid airline tubing

Methodologies
Split methodology: One to three dilution in newly sterile gallon jar, 3 ml Micro Algae Grow.

Culture medium description: 
Chlorinated, dechlorinated 27 ppt Instant Ocean saltwater, with 3ml Micro Algae Grow per gallon

When I purchased the culture it was lovely dark and did well on my shelf until I split it, and then it crashed.  I left the culture going, bubbling, and it appears to have recovered.  The pictures are of some cells that survived the crash, 400x via Celestron:

after initial "crash" it seems to be making a come back.  Split today for the second time.

The culture has been doing well, and I even have a serious bloom in my neon gobie BRT that showed up just as metamorphosis should have occurred. I have caught a glimpse of one meta goby, but I can't see any of the others, its that thick. I assume they are all OK.
