And now a quick video of the current nest which was laid early on September 1, 2014. I will be tracking the progress of these eggs on this thread. This is a much bigger spawn than at any time prior. I think a concerted effort to improve their diet along with added age and size have resulted in this bigger spawn. The pair had only been in the tank a year when they first spawned and were only 1" juveniles when I got them. So they are fairly young clown with a lot of growing to still do. Can't imagine the spawn size when she is a 5"-6" monster.

I love my Spotcinctus, I really do. But when I have to stay up late to skim hundreds of larvae from my display tank, I really want to thump them on their little heads. Tonight the female was actually resting in the clay pot under the anemone a couple of times. Maybe some day she will decide it is a worthy spot for one of her nests.
