2015 Marine Breeder's Workshop! - Friday, January 9, 2015 1:09 AM
The 2015 Marine Breeder's Workshop will be held on Saturday, July 25th at The Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
 
This will be our 6th Annual event and still the only event of its kind dedicated to captive breeding of Marine Ornamentals!

Each year we strive to bring in speakers to cover a wide variety of topics related to captive breeding, this year will be no different! A full schedule of events and speakers will be posted in the coming weeks so please stay tuned to the MBI site and our Facebook page.

As in years past, the weekend kicks off with an informal reception on Friday evening at the host hotel. The Workshop takes place all day Saturday followed by dinner at the perennial favorite, Moose Preserve! On Sunday everyone is invited to a BBQ at Fishtal Propagations located on the beautiful Elizabeth Lake.

We have secured a group rate of $94 per night at the fabulous Marriott Centerpoint, just 3.5 miles from Cranbrook. This rate includes free Wi-Fi as well as free parking! Please make your reservations early as the final day to book is June 26, 2015! Use this link to get our group rate.

I should, but unless the company pays... there's not a single chance other then winning the lottery, that I could afford to go  I'm not paid all that much, after all, I work in the aquarium industry.

Try to think of a good reason that it would be in the company's best interests. Make a case. It's better when you are there.  And bring Chad with you, if possible.

Chad is slammed.  He lost his tech so he's working 7 days a week.  I feel really bad for Chad.  WAIT... I just lost the person doing TDO and was training on CCS... I feel bad for me as well

Afraid I don't have any reward points  We do a lot of company purchases on AMEX and use the points for travel.  This means even though I fly a lot, I get zero points, zero medallions, zero upgrades, etc.  Kinda sucks actually

We are very pleased to be welcoming Dr. Andrew Rhyne back for the 2015 MBI Workshop! He will giving a tutorial on high performance algae and copepod cultures that is geared to someone working in their home and gives them some options for how much tech they wish to employ.
