This is my first go at these. Any ideas on how to recover the napulli in a 125 gal?

In a recent volume of Coral magazine there was an ingenius little snagger, one of which I built in about 15 minutes.  It involves a yogurt quart container, some plastic glue, a small funnel, and a night light. I got hundreds of peppermint shrimp larvae from the parental tank using it.  Alternatively, Vossen makes a lovely snagger.

I have had good luck with Chad Vossen's Larval snagger with both clownfish and peppermint shrimp.

well I never purchased a larval snagger or built one, But I will do so. I tried something to see if it would work. I read all the reports on this shrimp, And Fishboy13 had said that the eggs hatch on the 12th day. So I pulled the filter pad out of my sump before lights out until I noticed momma shrimp did not have any eggs. I was not sure if it would work. But then I found these

These are the best pictures I could get. I dont have a microscope yet. I thought they came out pretty good for using a cell phone camera and a magnifying glass.

Not sure you have what you think you have.  Shouldn't those eyes be on stalks? Is it possible you have mysis or hitchhikers from your live rock?  I'm no expert on ambionensis, but….Where is Luis?

Thanks Kathy, I will look to see if I can find any other species that look like these. The timing was about perfect with the shrimp. I had never seen these in my sump until now. I haven't added live rock to the sump in over a year. Has anyone seen Luis?

Ray, you are raising mysis shrimp

Cleaner shrimp larvae look like peppermint shrimp larvae.

Kathy and Netra are keen observersThese are indeed mysid shrimps.
They are very common among rockwork and in sumps.Hard to catch though!
They could perhaps provide an interesting live food,if they could be cultured like A.bahia.I am not aware of anybody trying it.This could be an interesting project!

Sorry for posting the wrong species. I was thinking of what Kathy said about hitch hikers in the live rocks in the sump. I haven't added live rock to the sump but i forgot about the coral I traded and replaced those rocks with new rock in the tank. Bummer on the cleaner shrimp, but it's cool to have another to work with. Thanks for all your help.

I was wondering if those could hermit crab larvae? Definitely need an expert to weigh in though. (oops - I see they already did!)
