Wow, incredible videos. Really cool to see the development in that video series. They really have some fat bellies! How big are those PVC pieces, to get a rough idea how large those fry are?

The 45dph fish are around 1cm length, 1/2 to 3/4 in height. first foods were parvo nauplii. Larval systems around 13gal brt. Tanks had algae dripped into them for turbidity and feed any copepods left after feeding. Adult system is 100K mixed species aritificial reef.

This is awesome ! Are the brts in circulating line with the main system? Where are you located if I may ask? We'd like a lot more information, on the systems, and for me especially the feeding.

Interesting use of the air ring. It also looks to provide great flow in there.

Hi KathyL yes all videos are shot with a gopro3. Most shots are also filmed through a macro lens attachment by backscatter.

Are you affiliated with the Aquarium at the Zoo? This is all very impressive, and very professionally done. That is a much stronger air and water movement then I would have tried, but, on thinking it over its what would be natural for pelagic fry, and naups.

Yes Jake. The air might of been a bit much. Taking these videos have helped me get a fish perspective to help me adjust conditions. That air flow doesn't look as turbulent topside. Kathy the flashlight is actually a scuba dive light with a wide beam spread of the light. Whatever light you use. make sure it is wide spread and not a spot light. You will avoid getting burnt out spots in your shots.
