A few times I removed the male and placed in a birthing tank alone; due to his obvious anxiety, the next few times I added his mate. Doing this helped a LOT. My preferred method is to allow both to remain in the display and turn off pumps the night before birthing. Catching the fry is tedious but I think this method is much, much better for the male. |
