Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
Normal shrimp...walk around, much on stuff, walk around some more, much on some more stuff.
Spawning Behavior:
I haven't been able to observe any. They are almost indistinguishable from each other when I go to sleep, and then when they wake up she's carrying eggs.
Post Spawn Behavior:
They both act the same as pre-spawning except that the female occassionally cleans/rearranges the eggs with her pinchers.

Egg Details
Size: |
0.5mm
Color: |
mint green and then opaque white
Quantity: |
2000? Not sure...A BUNCH
Description:
0.5mm in diameter, start out a mint green color and then after a while they turn opaque white. As they age you can sort of make out the developing larvae inside, but I haven't been able to get any good pics of this.
Location:
Under the female's abdomen
Other Details:
I can't put this in the spawning details because it happens when she releases the eggs (I'll add it to the hatching report whenever I can collect larvae to photograph), but the female molts the night she releases her eggs.
