Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
For the first spawning, I kept males and females separate only putting them together to spawn.
When kept in groups, the males will display to each other establishing dominance. On male will mate and then protect female from other males who want to mate and replace the current spermataphore with their spermataphore. I have also witnessed 'cross dressing' and 'sneaker male' behavior
Spawning Behavior:
Mate head to head, male putting two arms on top of females head
Post Spawn Behavior:
Male will guard female while she lays eggs. Male and female often seem to guard eggs after laying.
